With the recent selection of a winner for the Master Plan competition for the Edmonton City Centre Airport Lands (ECCA Lands), we look forward to a City Center Redevelopment that will be sustainable economically, socially and ecologically. This redevelopment is committed to being the most comprehensively sustainable development in the world and promises to be a transformative project of the City of Edmonton.

In the spirit of continuing the momentum of our sold-out Designing Downtown event last spring, M.A.D.E. in Edmonton is proud to present Barry Johns in Designing ECCA Lands. The event will feature a presentation of the competition winning submission by one of the project team partners selected for the ECCA Lands project. The winning team is Perkins + Will, Group2 Architecture Engineering, Civitas Urban Design, and PFS Landscape Architects.

Mr. Johns’ lecture will be followed by a question and answer session intended to focus on the importance of this project to the City of Edmonton. The evening will also serve as an introduction to a series of structured and comprehensive public consultations scheduled throughout the Fall 2011 and Winter 2012 to solicit full stakeholder input on the ultimate Master Plan for the area.

Doors at 6pm, presentation starts at 7pm.
Art Gallery of Alberta, Ledcor Theater (downstairs)

Tickets will be available at the door on a first come first served basis – come early!
